Vegan · Salt Block Recipe

Blistered Cherry Tomatoes

Jammy, blistered tomatoes to spoon over bread, grains, or pasta.

Vegan BBQ or Oven Serves 4 10 min

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Heat your Himalayan salt block gradually to prevent cracking: 15 minutes on low, then raise the heat in stages over another 10-15 minutes until it reaches searing temperature (about 450-500°F). In the oven, place the cold block in a cold oven and heat to 450°F over 30 minutes.
  2. Toss tomatoes with oil, garlic, and pepper.
  3. Spread on the hot block and cook 6-8 minutes, shaking occasionally, until skins split and blister.
  4. Transfer to a bowl, fold in torn basil, and serve warm.
Salt Block Tip

A well-heated block blisters skins fast while keeping the insides juicy.
